It has to be said that I have broken my cherry Manchester strip bar wise (see  my obsessions piece) and so I am now completely at ease with ‘doing them’, so to speak in Manchester.... Hurrah i hear you cry (the operation was a success) and so with your permission, oh dear reader, I am to embark with you on a merry jaunt, across the length and breadth of this fair city, to engage in a spot of fantasy and to hunt for that most elusive of male prey THE EXOTIC DANCER. To whit: to find (to woo) who is the very best dancer in Manchester in 2007 .

So who’s the best in Manchester? Big question, small waist, in proportion hips, nice pips, great eyes, lovely pie (if your from up north this means something, apparently, I can only guess) My first stop was to be Boutique, after already sampling Obsessions questionable delights in the deans gate locks, a place of great positioning, but a bad layout meant an uncomfortable experience. The girls were good looking even if some a little prickly.

Low and behold, and all manner of biblical sayings aside, when we try to enter Boutique I was in for a big surprise. The huge but friendly (ish – ED) bouncer warmly but firmly greeted us (and rightly told my friend off for wearing trainers…. which you can’t do, by the by, but he then forgave him as his first time, a touch which I was dutifully impressed by, and so we went in) We glided past the really rather lovely receptionist (I know I know an amateur mistake, to like those used to entice but it has to be said she was rather nice) we purposefully paid the entry fee, which was also reasonable. But this was not my big surprise. As we opened up the doors, and were hit by that familiar aroma…. I realized.

All the best girls from Obsessions had flocked to Boutique!!! A result, times two. And why times two, I hear you wonder, because Boutique has its own gaggle of high class exotic dancers to. From tall overpowering, over high heel wearing Amazonians to gentle tiny blondes with dances as hot and powerful as a triple chilli vodka. In small boxes….

But back to the review, professionally, I loved the layout. The first thing you see as you walk in, smack bang, in the middle, the bar resplendent with a fine array of liquor and bottled beers ….hurrah! A pole dancing stage with two poles for shows and with a stunning semi blonde, seductively spinning in a manner I can only consider highly alluring and almost illegal, hurrah hurrah. And waitress service in dark surroundings, elegantly done out in plush velvet and silver tables with drinks at doubles with mixer at £6.50 but believe you me worth every penny for the surroundings…Hurrah hurrah hurrah And for the readily rich or ‘on a big one’ for reasons all your own VIP areas. The main area at the back with its own poles! You lucky sods. One day my people, one day.

And maybe one day soon with the asking price for this being a bottle of two of champers and JD (or grey goose which is much more my style) with free mixers and more girls coming over to you than you can shake several brown sticky sticks at. Some who simply prowl this area for free drinks like a Yorkshire man on dole day. And sound like one too. However, she’s a great laugh, has a great laugh, and a great body but what’s her name?

Anyway but what makes Boutique, unique and I really think it does, is that its design is made for one thing and one thing only: dances. The central area allows you to sit, but not together, there is no group of men here, allowing the dancers fair access to all, and you to watch and observe your favorites from afar before making that decision to be personally entertained. And don’t get me wrong these girls will entertain you, with shows at the weekend, with fire and candles, and a blonde who is simply stunning, full strip dances and moments of fantasy joy for £10. All the girls we met, and thanks to the management there were many on, were lovely, fun and friendly. Some of them we wanted to rescue from it all with their cute Canadian voices and baby like brown eyes, some we wanted to marry with their no messing about Manchester attitude and some we wanted to take to a hotel room and wrong around the place for a day or two. Hint: DON’T say this ever!!

But who gets through to the qualifiers? Well it was a close call so we choose two. Kat: whose natural body defies description and who’s dancing made my friends soul sing, even if he did get a nipple in the eye, the pain we go through. And Alayih who I think two of us still pine for at night. And pine we might as her feline eyes still appear to us.
