Gay Village, Manchester
Entertainment in Gay Village
The area around Canal Street and Sackville Street has been Manchester gay village for many years now, but the area has matured lately. After the initial hen party frenzy (thanks to the infamous Queer as Folk tv series) a spate of new openings has brought life into the area. Now you can sample a more up market and serene drink - from Manhatten inspired lounge bars, to late night clubbing and eating, this is always a 'good night out'.

Gay Village Hotels

There are plenty of places to stay within the gay village itself, mostly budget and smaller hotels but there's also the Princess on Portland hotel that's on the edge of the village. For more luxurious accommodation try the nearby City Inn or Macdonald Hotel in Piccadilly, and there's also a small selection of serviced apartments around Canal Street. More hotels in Gay Village

Property & Living in Gay Village

One of the first urban areas to see real city development, Canal Street and the surround areas (Sackville Street, Portland Street and Princess Street) benefits from a huge range of bars, restaurants and nightclubs, whilst the nearby China town has very little housing but a fantastic selection of Restaurants.
