Bar Below is one of the best bars in the village and the city centre to visit on saturday nights with the now established "Saturday Night Sessions" with "In Demand" DJs Mark Johnson and Ste Howarth playing a collection of vocal house music that will get keep you moving all the way through until 5am. I personal also the free shots and the various cocktails they have available. I am a regular at this bar and i recommend it to anyone that has not tried yet it to go down and experience this intimate and enjoyable nigh. SEE YOU THERE

I am a 30 year old single gay man. I have lived in Manchester all my life. Tonight (Good Friday) I went to the Village alone for a few drinks. Just to chill and enjoy myself. On trying to enter Bar Below at 11.30, I was told "We do not allow single men in on thier own". Is this a gay bar??? or is this a bar in the wrong location. Should this not be a bar on Deansgate. Get a grip Bar Below and remember where you are

an amazing little gem, this bar offers something different to those in the village. With a well established cocktail menu and friendly staff I will be spending a few more weekends down these stairs.

An amazing bar that keeps getting better. Think it has been through a slow patch lately and was getting a little boring but went there Saturday and they had a knew night on called 1999* which was amazing. As as for the person who was kicked out for dancing on a chair it serves you right. Go home and dance on your own furniture you freak.

Apparently 1999* is the last Saturday of each month! The poster say they have the Quirk Burglars playing this month. Last one was class!

i love barbelow it easily one if the classiest bars on canal street and ive never actually seen a bouncer on the door. i also like the free shot woth any alchoholic drink offer and use it frequently :p. keep on going barbelow

Probably the nicest cocktails in the village, with a nice mixed trendy crowd I?m gay and kissed my BF in there without any problems, all the staff seem to be gay too!

Small, intimate, never overcrowded. Nice 'rest rooms'

I love the door policy; I've noticed they are not keen to let 'just anyone in' (it is a small bar after all) and yet, with charm, wit and finesse I have always talked my way in past the polite bouncers, so that's an experience in itself.
