Door staff are rude and intimidating. barstaff were poor and unknollegable about the booze they sell. one member of the bar team didnt know what vodka was and also rude and unfriendly most of the bar team lacked urgency to serve .in one incident i was waiting half an hour to get served when the bar was quiet . i had other customers shouting racial abuse at me and the door staff did nothing. the management were unhelpful and seemed uncaring to my situation. the General Manager seemed uncompetant as when i complained about the doorstaff he had no people skills he didnt even apologise which was the least he could do. he didnt take me seriously . Never in my entire life have i been to such a horrid looking bar where i felt uncomfortable the whole night, with appalling service and at some points fearing for my own safety the place attracts a scallywag crowd and i would never recommend it to anyone.

if you want a function in barca i would think twice as the door staff are so rude i had a private function there and they wouldnt even let me in as they said it wasnt me on my driving id the door staff turned most of my friends away this was my 30th birthday it was a sh*t NIGHT will not be going again and will never recommend it to any one

What a find. Great staff, friendly, curteous and adverturous in their drink suggestions. Flaring behind the bar; enthusiastic staff and management, what more do you need? The view from the Catalan bar was superb. Highly recommended, and not expensive at all! 5*

After my last visit I was shocked how it has gone down hill. The door staff are so unwelcoming and there appearance is awful. When walking in side the place was dirty and the music was a lot to be desired, the lyrics in the couple of songs we heard was just F**k this and F**k that, not really appropriate I feel. The staff were not behind the bar they were all stood in a group at the end with a fag in one had and a cuppa in the other. The only thing that Barca has going for it are the candles they have put on the table and that is saying something. What once a great bar is nothing now. It's a big shame.....
