if you would like to eat in manchester do not go to hogshead deansgate my husband & i ordered a meal & we're told a 30 min wait fair enough after 45 mins i enquired after our food &55 mins after 75 mins we asked for a refund & then had to wait for the manager to drag himself downstairs to refund the money with a bored look on his face & a mumbled sorry. my husband and i will not be visiting this pub again.

The food is appalling. I ordered a prawn sandwich earlier today, when it came the bread was rock hard, so I sent it back. When my replacement came 10 minutes later it was no better, yes the bread was nice & soft but the lettuce was off! It had a brown trim to its green middle, it was obviously stale. And to top it off, there was about 5 prawns on my sandwich! I paid £4.45 for 2 pieces of bread, 5 prawns, a blob of cheap mayo & some stale lettuce. They must of seen me coming. I definately wont be eating there again.

I recently worked at the hogs head in the kitchen eating area... we replaced some of the flooring an to our disgust there was no word of a lie 2 inches of gone off food and fat/oil underneath the flooring itself .... also the chef was very rude an to be honest a total moron.. I will never be visiting that pub again but I will recommend the walkabout just around the corner the manager is one of the nicest people I have ever met an the food is brilliant

Security staff on the door would not let my partner and I into the establishment on a Sunday evening as we were wearing trainers. I didn't realize they were targeting a high class market, looked like a bog standard pub to me.
