I like it during the day to have a drink or bite to eat, but night it's s*ite, full of pill/coke head, pam is horrid and very rude to everyone. Makes me laugh though how so many gay guys, alot of friends say they hate it and we should boycott, but they're the first the queue for the fitlads party or bender etc

The doorstaff are appauling the way I have seen them treat some of the people, when they haven't done anything wrong, Pam has a disgraceful attitude and feels like she always has a constant chip on her shoulder to take out on others, very unprofessional and makes life hard for the people who want to just have a good time... A Bully who should be taken off those doors.

Personally i dont like the bar... Its pretencious and disgusting. Why would you want to spend your night in a bar thats full of attitude... Your doorstaff need to work on the people skills, there attitudes are a disgrace...

I definately agree with one of the comments above. It is and can be a very hard job to do working as a door supervisor, i think people tend to take doorstaff the wrong way. Its hard to keep a smile on you face whilst working through the night, everyone being drunk and rowdy and the doorstaff have to deal with them. From my point of view you dont go to a bar to get smiles off the doorstaff, i think some people need to back off from the doorstaff and leave them to do there jobs. If you are going to keep attending the venue then quit complaining about it.

The music is very satisfying and good on the ears in the Queer Bar.

I love Queer it's one of the best bars in the village.. and as for all the bad comments about Pam, please grow the f**k up she doesn't get paid to stand there and smile at you... that's what the bar staff are for!

came from dublin last week and spent 4 days in manchester and visited queer, have to say we went back every day, bar staff were lovely, food was great but i have to agree wit some of the comments on the female door staff (presume its pam) the night i was there she stood at the top of the steps wit her back to the dance floor and had her head stook in her mobile phone the whole night while anything could have been happening behind her, as a door man in belfast u would be sacked for that !

I was there last night and was shocked by an incident down stairs , where a stright girl and lad beat up on a black guy. This happend on the dance floor infrint of rhe DJ box and the door staff took ages to arrive ... Later on the same girl " who cut here foot and boyfriend .. Beat up the same poor lad again whilst door staff looked on ! Are we safe in your club!

I seen this same incident and the doorstaff did take too long to arrive where is the communication between the dj and the doorstaff but to b fair the doorstaff did try and stop the incident outside but was way out numbered by the people involved

Yes I have been a regular satnight visitor to Queer 5years
and have seen it go down hill.I also have seen a major incident that started just by a pushing of two lads,it took ages for staff to deal with considering they have cctv down stairs.The main thing i dont like is glass collectors pushing you about on the dance floor and always trying to
clear your unfinished drink.AXM on a sunday night when they have a turn on the stage is best night i have had in the village.

im a door superviser from boro and frequently come to canal street ive been to queer once and never again the door staff are a bunch of muppets they have no consern to whats going on in the club,& the female bouncers attitude stinks if it wasnt for the fact id loose my SIA license id lay her out no problem

Queer was fine when we visited during the day, bar staff fine but sounds like they have a huge problem with door staff - 1 person can ruin a reputation easily it seems. I would be doing something about this if it was my place. Sorry.

Full of queens but its a good night the doorstaff aint there to be your mate they dont drink on the job they have to stand on a door all night around drunk people and pill heads to 10 oclock in the morning
