TriBeCa and BED review
Situated on the edge of the Gay Village, Tribeca is a New York themed cocktail bar that has proven to be a huge hit with both gay and straight revellers. Named after an area of Manhattan (Tribeca stands for TRIangle Below Canal) the bar is decorated in leather and wood, with a double vaulted ceiling in the main bar area. At the back is a raised seating area that can be hired out for private parties and above the main entranceway is the Purple Lounge, which is a 25 capacity area that can be reserved as well. The drinks prices can be a little on the expensive side, but you can grab a good-sized cocktail pitcher for ?12.
BED is located downstairs, and unsurprisingly it has very few seats and lots of comfy beds to lounge around on. Despite a positive launch it hasn't captured the imagination of the Manchester public despite being a decent enough 150 capacity bar. The d?cor is well executed and its well worth a visit, although if it's busy it can be annoying waiting for a bed to become clear - or just jump on a bed with some strangers!

Annabelle says...Love Tribeca, Hate Bed! Upstairs there's plenty of space and good music, but downstairs isn't for me as it's too busy and too hard to find a space to perch!
Paul says...I love above Tribeca so I'm glad to have it as my local. Five years on and I'm still in here once a week so they must be doing something right! I love Bed downstairs as well, the food is fantastic for when you're a bit hung-over and need to TLC.

TriBeCa and BED says...Have come to love TriBeCa as our local over the past few years. Great atmosphere within the bar and some really good nights (acoustic night!) to go to throughout the week. It has a great ambience sat chilling on the sofas yet has no pretentious air about it. Our favourite part of the bar is possibly the nicest, most attentive barman we have ever come across in a bar. He forever wears a cross around his neck and is always working, we consider him to be TriBeCa! TriBeCa has our thumbs up!

Anonymous says...Tribeca is an ace place to go when you just want to chill out with a group of friends and have a chat through the week and also at the weekend it can be pretty cool too. Although i wouldnt make a habit of spending my whole night in this bar because Manchester has sooo many other places in Manchester to offer. But it has one of THE hotest doormen around....He knows who he is...haha.

emma says...Tribeca is wicked i always attend there at the start of evry night out to start us off and get us in the mood, bed i don't like soo much too small and the music isnt great but upstairs is fab! i love it.
