| Dandara's ambitious 360° building sites on the corner of Duke Street and Rice Street, close to the busy Liverpool Road. As far as placement goes, this is one of the prime positions in Castlefield with views of the canal basin, roman fort and nearby park. You've got the award winning Ox Gastropub just a few steps away, the outstanding Alberts Shed restaurant, as well as a plethora of bars, clubs and eateries within a short distance. The busy Deansgate shopping area is just a few minutes walk away, yet this area is still quiet and serene well into the evening. However, all is not rosy. The building - in our opinion - is horrific, with sad sand coloured bricks with very little on the outside to make it interesting. They've slapped on some strange metal fins that serve no purpose other than to block the views from the residents balconies. We're not quite sure what happened to this, but then again Dandara's previous builds have been in a 'love em or hate em' style. We've no doubt 360 will sell well, and with just 59 apartments and one commerical unit they should go quickly. | |||||||||||||||||
