(ave rating)
This hotel is rated 4*
We rate it 4/5
The City Inn hotel is the newest hotel for the City Centre, and it boasts 285 bedrooms, twenty six club rooms, seven city suites and the luxurious duplex Auburn Suite.

The recently announced Macdonalds Hotel, located just down the road from the City Inn Piccadilly seemed to have them licked with the promise of i-pod connectivity in each room, but the City Inn goes one further with an iMac entertainment system that drives the TV, DVD, CD and Internet in each room. You can keep an eye on the city with the floor to ceiling windows in each room, but the hotel includes extra soundproofing to keep the noise of the city out. The hotel also has air conditioning in each room, and there's free wireless internet throughout.

The hotel offers 24hr room service, and you can grab a bite to eat or drink in one of two bars, of the City Inn's on-site restaurant, the City Cafe.

The best thing about this hotel is the rates, as you can pick up some amazing deals at the City Inn. The superior 'City Rooms' are normally ?265, but you can pick one up for just ?89. Or stay in the 'City Club Suite' for ?189 instead of ?325.

The hotel also has Manchester's second sky bar, but sadly it's not open to the public. You can hire out the Sky Lounge for private functions and events.

Other facilities include 24hr room service, a concierge service (should you require any help with getting around Manchester) and the City Inn has on-site car parking...a must for a hotel in central Manchester. The hotel also has a porter to help you with your bags, and full disabled access.

If you're looking for a luxury hotel in central Manchester, but you're thinking more contemporary than classical then the City Inn is a good choice if it's within your budget. Whilst rooms normally start at ?200, you can use our exclusive offers below to get rooms just ?139 per night (doubles).

Check in at this hotel is at 3pm, checkout is at 12pm. Cancel your booking up to days prior to stay .

I just got back from my 1st trip to Manchester, and i decided to read reviews of alot of hotels before making my choice, as there is nothing worse then getting a rubbish hotel. The City Inn stod out to me straight away, only hotel in manchester with NO bad reviews worth talking off. So i went a head, and booked it. Best hotel choice i have made in a Very long time! It was easy to find, right infront of Piccadilly station. I arrived a bit early 1pm, but the friendly lady on reception said that it was no problem and that she already had my room ready! And as i told her it was my 1st. time in Manchester i was given a copy of a city center map so i did not get lost, nice detail. And what a room, 8th. floor smoking room, with views across central Manchester and canal street. Even though in the heart of the city, it was easy to fall asleep, not a sound same through the closed windows at night, and only thing waking me up in the morning was my alarm. It is also rare, that NO sounds came from any of the next door rooms, even though the hotel seemed to be fully booked. The room was nice and clean, not to mention the "out of this world" entertaining system. There is a imac computer in each room, i thought i would find it hard to use but no, not at all. It not only gave me internet, but also tv, radio, hotel inforation, cd but also dvd. The "White company" bath shampoo and soap as well as the white dressing gowns made it all feel even more like a luxury treat, i loved it The view was out of this world, so nice that i at night feel asleep with the cyrtains open, so the light of Manchester was the last thin in saw before falling asleep. The location was really good too, only 1 min from canal street, and 5 min. from city center, with shops and restaurants, may i say even comming from London, Manchester has fantastic shops and restaurants! One or two of the reviews i read was saying that the breakfast was to expensive, and may i say no it is not! I dont know where the people thinking that lives, but it was a very nice breakfast for a good price, around ?10, in london you would not get that for less then ?20! And should you find yourself so lucky, to be looked after by the waitress by the name of Dominik, you are sure to be in the best hands, she even remembered my prefrences and what table i like to eat at! And though i did not eat dinner in the restaurant, im sure it was as nice as the breakfast, proven by alot of locals having dinner at the hotel every night! Also all the staff through out the hotel, even the friendly always greeting cleaning team, were great. I travel alot, and have stayed in many hotels, i normally dont bother filling in re-views, but this was so good that everyone should know! I can not wait to return to Manchester, but more so the City Inn Hotel. Let me take this chance to thank the team at the City Inn Hotel Manchester, i had a fantastic weekend!

IMHO one of the best hotels in the city centre if not the whole of Manchester. Service is outstanding and the location was perfect for us, but might not be for everyone (Piccadilly can be very busy, and sometimes noisy)

One of my most enjoyable stays in Manchester, sited very close to the city centre and enough within the hotel (nice cafe bar and restaurant) to mean that you dont have to venture too far. A couple of nice restaurants close by, accommodation standard was very good and the service was excellent. Price wise I dont think this can be beaten in Manchester.

Loved the power shower in the room, it nearly blew me away! City Inn is far better than any of the hotels in the centre.

Stayed at the city inn with my family and thought it was excellent. Fantastic location for what the city had to offer, the staff were impressive and if (when) we come back then we'll be staying at the city inn.

Loved playing with the iMac in the bedroom, the Internet access must be one of the fastest I have ever used Guest services would not tell me who the internet provider was, pity as I would to have it at home
