The team behind Manchesters Food and Drink festival, taking place later in the year, are celebrating Summer with a special party at Platt Fields park. Their aim is to combine, food, drink and music, with local musicans like I am Kloot, Liam Frost, Stephen Fretwell and Mr Scruff playing, plus plenty of locally loved brands and brewers coming together to let the public sample their wares.

Ambitiously running over two days (12th and 13th of July), the lack of a Dpercussion festival this year means that the public will be looking for something to do with their potentially sunny days, and the festival hopes to offer a viable alternative.
