Good once inside, went on a friday with 4 friends. My recommendation don't go in all together as the bouncers just love for an excuse not to let you in. Lucky for us Dave the promoter came out and said we were friendly enough and let us in but the bouncers are just harsh man. Sort that out

i take it you can only write nice reviews on here cos mine keep being deleted oh well would have loved to have had the chance to get in club v! think the door staff need to sort it out before they end up with no custom at all dave next time if you don't want us in just tell us on the phone first! if not from manchester you have no chance getting in this club think about it you prob turn alot of good customers away every week

this club is great! the music is good the people are good, staff are friendly exept for one person. dave the promoter he is a horrible person puts the place down in my books. i know its HIS night but is there any need to be so horrible to people, or customers after all venus would be nothing with out them. every time iv seen this dave he has had somehing cocky to say to me or others, so if he does ever read this review, next time someone comes to the door asking a question can you try and be nice or is it just in your blood to rude and horrible.. there is a lot more id like to say 2 you but im not that kind of person like you. ta!

Freindly club. some people have a problem wiv the bouncers not letting certain people in but thats the reason for the top atmosphere in their. get 2 know the bouncers and the staff then your looked after, everytime you go.... Djs are also very good apert from suzie .

Once inside, V is indeed a top-notch night. The real problem, though is getting in in the first place. There's a real catch 22 issue: if you're a guy on your own then its very difficult to get in without a membership card. However, you can only apply for one once you're in the club??? The other night a guy with a whacking great shiner breezed right in, but I got turned away. Come on, fellas

V is a great club, great music and cool people

this place is a top place....apparently, however, turns away lads in shirts and shoes yet lets in 16 year old girls, the door staff need to take a new approach.
Oh and the membership, need one to get it and can only get in with 1....EY?

Venus is the best club in Manchester by far, and the only one id go to! been going about a year now and have never seen any trouble in there e.g. fights!, hence the strict door policy if they don't know your face or like how you look they tend not to let people in. but in my opinion I think that's a good idea because its always a good crowd in there and has a great friendly atmosphere if you don't get in on a sat night my advice is try Friday night then sign up for a membership when you get in. Fridays are just as good and cheaper

The doormen just look at you and tell u there no point in queueing or trying when u r in jeans, white-shirt & polished balck shoes :O..

it dusnt matter if your from sheffeild or not. we r from manchester and been going for years and the baldy bouncer will not let us in even tho we r MEMBERS! the door staff defo needs sorting out, because he just makes his own rules up, sorry to the group from sheffeild, but all off manchester r not so pricky. oops sorry i meant picky ha ha. If anyone knows when baldys on holiday let us know and we can all meet up and have a great night.

Visiting Manchester from Sheffield for a birthday celebration rang Club V and was told we would be on the paying guest list. When arrived they asked where we were from and when we said Sheffield they checked the list and said we are not on. The guest list person then said it is up to the doorman whether we could go in. The doorman then said this is a members only club and sorry you will not be going in tonight. There were four of us (two couples) we were dressed according to dress code but refused entry. Not sure how you are supposed to have a night out in a different city if it is "members only". Advice - if you are told you will be on the paying guest list take the name of the person you speak to as I think they make their own rules up as they go along. If they don't like look of you, you won't get in!

Went venus on Saturday night for the first time and can honestly say that i had an amazing night The dj's were flawless and the music was pure quality Definately be going back

top notch tunes by the funky house dj's looks mint after refurbishment proper nce colour of paint...just wonderin if u can get me that female bouncers number-the way she searched me was immense

venus has turned in the direction of a funky punky dress code but still maintains the best funky vocal house in Manchester. its got the best reputation of being a trouble free venue and hosts a friendly atmosphere, with coach parties welcomed from Leeds, Birmingham, Liverpool and Sheffield.
