Deansgate is the home to some of Manchesters finest eateries, shops and nightlife - but until recently it wasn't best served by hotels. If you wanted to find accommodation in the area then you'd have to make do with budget hotels, or venture further across Manchester to find a decent hotel. Now all of this has changed, as the new Hilton at the Southern end of the city centre brings a little luxury to the area. The nearby St Johns Street hotel (technically not in Deansgate, but in the leafy Castlefield) is one of the finest small hotels in Manchester, and there's also the Jurys Inn close by which offers budget rooms. Property & Living in Deansgate
Covering one side of the city centre to the other, from Deansgate station to Victoria, Deansgate has some of the plushest apartments in Manchester. The huge Beecham tower, which includes a five star hilton hotel, is being built on the cusp of Castlefield, whilst at the opposite end there award winning Deansgate No. 1 sits next to Harvey Nichols. Deansgate Quay is quieter, as it's set back within a canal inlet, and that's just a few steps to the bar mecca Deansgate Locks.
