Above it is the Worsley Park Golf Club, to the right is the Worsley Golf Club and below it is Winton Park. A budget hotel, but a top-end budget hotel!

The Manchester YHA is a far cry from the average youth hostel. You get your own room, a view over the serene Castlefield Basin, an onsite gym, cheep and cheerful cafe (breakfast is included) and hotel parking. With double rooms from just £52.50, quadruple rooms from £90 and the city centre just five minutes walk away this is a bargain. The area around the YHA is filled with some of Manchester's premiere pubs and restaurants, including the lovely Akbars (Indian) restaurant and gastro pub The Ox.

A modern and clean budget hotel that's close to Old Trafford and the serene Salford Quays (and all that area has to offer). Rooms from £90, but worth it for the extra space, free car parking and the on-site bar! In all honesty it seems a tad unfair to lump the Holiday Inn express in with the rest of the 'budget hotels', especially given their famous buffet breakfast, but for £90 you can get a family room that sleeps up to four (double bed and double sofa).
