Chinese Food in Manchester

Traditionally the best Chinese food is found in Manchester's Chinatown, a collection of chinese restaurants, shops and bakeries, and the area still provides a great chinese dish, but as Manchester has developed so has the cities lust for Chinese food. This has resulted in a number of openings around the city, ranging from the mass-market Wagamama in Spinningfields to the proposed Ithaca (John Dalton Street). However there are still two kings in Manchester, and they're both in Chinatown. The Yang Sing is still favoured by the chinese food afficianadors, and the New Emperor on George Street. Both have won awards - the former is by the far the most acclaimed - and they offer a far more traditional approach to chinese cooking.
