If you don't like feasting on something that used to swim or scuttle then this isn't the place for you. A stunning venue, but not quite up to par in my book. Room is a modern english restaurant that certainly delivers on looks, but is sadly let down by service and - cough - the foods. Certainly one of the best looking restaurants, and I'd recommend that you give it a go at least once just to enjoy the decor, and for the bar, but don't expect too much. A great restaurant for a date, for the parents, or for friends.

One of the first trendy Indian restaurants in Manchester and still worth a visit - while it's still there. Shimla Pinks is opposite the Manchester Courts building, a minutes stroll from Deansgate, and the food, service and the dining experience are top notch. Expect around ?25/for two, and enjoy it while you can as that area is soon to be redeveloped.
