Red Hot World Buffet review
The Red Hot World Buffet should be arriving on Blackfriars Street sometime towards the end of 2010 and, from what we’ve seen on their website of their other outlets in the UK, it looks pretty cool. It works like a buffet – no surprise there then – but with lots of different foods – Indian, Chinese, Thai, Italian, Mexican, Japanese. Choices of starts and mains from each group and basically you can have as much of anything as you like. Pizza and curry, for example. Or stir fry with a burrito on the side. Wicked.

What a fantastic night at Red Hot Buffet Manchester did not book but after a 15 minute wait we were taken to our table for five people.
The decore was very nice with mood lighting and very clean,There was lots of staff to serve drinks etc.
Now the food wow... lovely all fresh and a great selection to choose from i tried every pudding possible i really liked the small portions because it left room for me to try everything.
All round very good service good price level and a
Well done,

Treid getting in here the other saturday afternoon, as we had visited the leeds branch which was outstanding last month on a saturday afternoon, we went after having drinks at the slug n leetuce on deansgate at around 3pm,to be told we couldnt get in.. til 5pm...Wth...

As this is my local branch to me i was really annoyed as we loved the leeds branch so much, although the leeds branch did serve up caribbian food which was the best in the place also the indian food is lovely.

So if you want to visit on a saturday lunchtime make sure you go around midday as you wont get in...its too busy, and when we got there, there was atleast 40 prams in the bar area...sounded like an all inclusive hotel buffet.

They need to make another branch in manchester city centre soon as its getting to popular and too busy.they cannot cope.

29/08/11 We booked a table in advance, when we arrived we joined the queue (fine) when we got upstairs we had to queue again to wait for a table to clear.
We had booked for Lunch time 2pm and the place is amazing, lots of selection and variety really nice food.
However, No were on the website did it state that some of the food stations only open in the evening.
There were several stations and bars not open so although you have a really good choice of food this seems to be a bit misleading.
The place is over booked and therefore regards service makes you feel like you want to get up and give them a lift.
No sense of customer service feels a bit like going shopping at aldi as opposed to tesco, and am not being snobish with that comment i just mean you are made to feel like a number on a seat as opposed to a resturant customer.
I would go back but next time i would make sure i went in the evening to fully enjoy the variety.
Feels a bit like a 5 star all inclusive resturant, good food,. staff to busy to stop and even remember you have asked 4 times for your bill or a glass

Okay if you really want me to review this absolutely appalling buffet. I was greeted wit ha 45 minute wait at the reception even though i had been told that a table should be available within 15 minutes! Me and my girlfriend were taken up to out seats by a younbg man who had a terrible attitude, i asked him for a drinks menu and was given the menu nearly ten minutes after asking for it.

once i had ordered my drinks i recieved them 15 minuted later, only becausei complained though, couldj have been waiting longer! the hot food was cold and in-edible, i complained to the manager and he didnt give an apology or even show any signs of aknowledgement! I was asked if i wanted the bill twice even though i had only been there for an hour, i told the waitress that i would ask for the bill when i was ready and not before, the watitress just stormed off, didnt see her again all night, infact i didnt really see a waitress or waitor all night except for when being asked if i wanted my bill!

all in all the service is absolutely terrible and the food was not even worth mentioning in this review, it lacked taste and heat! only decent thing about the place is when you leave through the doors..

i would never recommend this buffet to a human, perhaps a dog? then again its not even fit for one. wont be going again, everyone save your money and go to buffet city in china town, quality service and the food is excellent!

Had a 7pm booking for 4 people, we were seated on time even though the bar was busy. The food was piping hot with plenty of variety, one of our diners had a chinese made at a live station which he said was top notch, the deserts were plentyful you couldn't go wrong. The drinks were a reasonable price for a restaurant.
The only problem was we had to move tables half way through dining to accompany a large booking but were pleasently surprised when we hadn't been charged for our drinks because of this disruption. All in all a good meal at a good restautant.

Visited 4/6/11 with 6 other people. I was looking forward to the food due to reading great review for the Leeds buffet. Unfortunately, I was disappointed. I arrived just before our 5 pm booking, upon being seated (only 2 of us initially) we waited 10 minutes until a waitress happened to walk by and I stopped her to ask for a drink! 10 minutes after this our drinks had not arrived and I had to ask again, the restaurant wasn't even busy at this point. Regarding the food, I tried many different cuisines including Italian, Indian, Mexican and Japanese. All of the food was nice but nothing outstanding, to be fair I was expecting a little bit more especially of the curry as one I can cook at home from a jar tastes better. My favourite part was the desserts which I did overindulge in. My least favourite part was the slow and rude staff; we did stay for around 2 hours as no limit was in place like many buffets. Staff brought our bill to the table on 3 occasions even though people had clearly not finished and we were ordering drinks. Furthermore we ALL overpaid at the end but when leaving were chased when downstairs and stopped at the door by security, at which point the man who took our bill stated we had UNDERPAID by 35p! He wasn't even counting all of the change we gave, but to just get out we gave him 35p. Overall I wouldn't eat here again unless they employ staff who are polite, efficient and can understand what you are asking for. Furthermore I wouldn't pay the highest price ever again as you can have a far better quality meal going to a restaurant where ALL of the food is good not hit-and-miss.

we wentto the Red Hot World Buffet last night, 4 adults for a 19.30 seating,, therewasa que so we where rearly glad that we had pre booked a table, we got taken stright to our table which was a window table over looking Densgate, the place was full, but i have to say that you never felt like you were being rushed and getting served at the buffet was very quick and proffesional, we never once felt like we were queing up for our food "unlike some buffet resturants we have been to". The food was FANTASTIC, im not the most exciting of eaters "sheepards pie and chips is fine by me", but i tried Mexica, Chinese, Indean and off course some English lol, the afters, well what can i say, they were LOADS to choose from, Midget gems, cakes, choclate, buttons, ice cream to name but a few, i think i over did the afters, but hay it was there to be eaten. our table was reserved from 19.30 till 21.00 and at 21.00 we had finished "they didnt come round asking youto leave. got to go

Went for lunch today at the red hot world buffet in manchester with my boyfriend. Tried to reserve a table over the phone but got told they don't do reservations for 2 and we could just 'walk straight in'. We waited for 35 minutes for a table. When asking after half an hour the manager told us to 'just sit down' in a rather rude and impatient manner. When we finally got a table, a waiter did not come over at any point for us to order drinks, instead we had to go up and ask. Was disappointed with the selection of food, the sushi wasn't being served and many of the dishes were all gone. The chicken tikka masala tasted like cheap tomato ketchup, my boyfriend and I left pretty much a whole plate of indian food that was cold and tasted, well, not nice. I was mostly looking forward to the desserts (on the online menu there is 8 different types of cheesecake), however I was extremely disappointed to find only a hideous strawberry cheesecake. The other deserts were pretty much disgusting too! I would not recommend going at lunch, although some friends have told me it is incredible during the evening. I suppose for £7.99 you can't expect much more though.

The only thing that was great was the desserts. The hot food was cold! Not impressed, better off spending the same money at another restaurant nearby but for better quality! Time will tell if this place gets any better or worse

Went to the Manchester one on Friday with my boyfriend. OUT OF THIS WORLD. It's unbelievable just how well organised they are for such a big place. Food was sooooooo tasty too!

I've been going on about it since I went and now everyone else I've told will be visiting it at some point this week.

Can't recommend it enough. Go there! You'll love it.

went last night 11th may for an early dinner before going on to the theatre. I had not heard of the red hot restaurants before but i am so glad we chanced upon it. the price of the food and drinks were excellent value for money. On the whole the food was very good, the sushi is amazing and the food cooked to order is excellent. Ok the hot buffet food could be served slightly hotter than it was yesterday but that is my only criticism. The desserts were to die for and the choice was huge. Would my husband and I go again you bet, the very next time we are in manchester!

went there last night with me 7 other adults and 2 kids.
service was good but a little too much,, the waitress basically stayed over at the table the whole way through the meal.
the food tasted great but wasnt very hot, the freshly made dishes were amazing, as you got to pick whichever ingredients you wanted.
the cold buffet was really good as you had so much variety and options.
the desserts were the best! so dainty and lots and lots of choice.
overall, the price is amazing and i would definitely go back, but maybe only have the freshly made dishes for starters and mains.
love the decor :)

I went for lunch on Monday with a table of four. At first from outside it looked great and the price seemed tempting. When we arrived at the table we were handed a table by the colomn and after advising to change the waitress helped immediatly. Then we went to sample the buffet and it looked nice. I requested Sushi and it is only in the evening. A pity I wasn't aware. Then we tock our plate for teh starters and they were warm. This was on the buffet near the salad bar. The cold was good. Then we sampled the Hot. I really enjoy Indian and tried it first. The Chicken korma was very nice, big but hot. The remaiming items were stone cold. Rice Pilou and the Chicen were very cold. Fortunatly the sauce of the Chicken korma made up for it. We went up again as I was sure that this was maybe an unlucky ride, but the lamb ROGAN Rosch was also cold. It was not a rogan rosch however a boiled piece of Lamb Shoulder in a seasoned Gravy. A lovely waitress asked us if everything was fine and I told her that some food was cold and I showed her a piece to touch just as i sat down with my fresh plate. She promptly told her manager, in which there were plenty of them. (3 to be correct) He came to our table and I explained that It was o.k. however cold food is really not enjoyable.... Apart from the bactiera aspect.... How long was it there for. ( I am the tall person) The PROBLEM Started here. His answer to my question was... "I will inform the Chef" That was a simple answer but i am convinced that he didn't. When I went back after 5 minutes to see if it was rectified..... Not at all... It was the same dish, with the same amount of cold items. I was really upset as they could have at least tried to make up for what they lost. Nothing amazing maybee a positive approach, and see how they can add some quality to there service. We tried the dessert and it was great.... I was upset with the restaurant so I just requested the bill. I went straight to the counter and as I asked the other manager for the bill the phone rang. What do you think he did! He didn't acknoledge me at all. I waited for 3 minutes then headed to the table. He relised my fustration and hang the phone and came to see table number. A waitress came and handed the bill. 49.60 for 4 people and wine seems reasonable. It really was however, the mangments team needs training on Customer service... they are in the same industry as myself. I honestly feel that the overall value for money was not worth it. See the impact of there approach. When we left the manager turned his back in embarresment... I really don't bite and yet he turned his shoulder instead of trying to be honest and appologise with sincierety. I wish tthem all the luck in their new buisness but remember not to be affraid of the guests and when a problem arises, how small it maybee..... TAKE ACTION.... Understand the issue, then resolve. Inform the guest by returning that the issue has been resolved and offer him to ttry it again. That way the guest could have then spoke clearly about the dishes and reccomend to his friends. Good luck on your service skills and your new adventure.

We went to Chaobaby in the trafford center amd the Bill came to 94.60 for 4 buffets and 2 bottles of wine. This was value for money cause we really enjoyed it. The staff were all friendly the managment team came several times to talk to us. We enjoyed the service and food so much, that is why we had 2 bottles of wine. Simple My wife and I will go back again the next time we are in manchester. Quailty = customers perception on the product. Red Hot World Buffet will make it one day shortly if they employ the right staff and that they accept that they need training. The Food is o.k. (It reflects in the price)but without doubt the best of the week we thouroughly enjoyed was the chaobaby in the trafford center, hands down, freshness, service and cuisine.

I can see that they have still not ammendecd their customer Skills. One would expect to recieve a reply at least, as to how things are improving. Yet 4 people disagree and Undoubtably the mayority are those managers who are affraid of reality. It would be nice to recieve at least acknowledgment. I have friends who travel to Manchester Regulary and you were placed where you belong... untill you rectify your situation and consult in training.... Very disappointed with the outcome......Stephen

Main food was okay, lacked flavour and the spicy dishes were not at all spicy. Dessert was fantastic. Presentation of food was great. Service was excellent. Decor was nice but don't look too closely as it shows poor workmanship! Overall okay for a buffet and if you want a quick meal
