A Mancunian Instituion, the Paradise Factory is slated to re-open in 2008 after almost three years after it last shut it's doors. In truth the club died back in 2001 and since then it's has a brief stint as 'Industry' and played host to a few special events. Now the team behind the Warehouse Project are taking over the venue, and they're planning to bring it back to it's former glory.
The three floor venue was once the business home to Factory Records, the musicianados who ran the Hacienda as well as putting out record by Joy Division and the Happy Mondays et al. The venue itself is referred to as FAC251.
Tickets for the opening events at the Paradise Factory (or also '112 - 116 Princess Street', as it's being referred to) go on sale in December. Two events have been announced, both in January 2008, so we'd advice you to get hold of your Paradise Factory tickets ASAP to avoid disapointment.
Anonymous agree with most of the comments about sankeys. it used to be all about the music and the big names week after week reflected that. yeah it was dirt and grime but thats why we all went and what we expected. now it's becoming more and more 'trendy' with its new coloured lights in the bar area and barely any space to dance now you can't even wander upstairs most big nights. the toilets are a joke now too as are the drinks prices, the bouncers, the queue to get in etc etc etc. bring back old sankeys anyday 3 people agree, 3 people disagree with this review
