After a name change or two, Joshua Brooks has returned to it's former self, and it's all the better for doing so. This two storey venue has a little bit of the Mancunians about it - hence a little raw, and real, and through the years it's attracted the nearby students (the old UMIST campus is right over the road) and locals, with a suprising selection of clubnights, that included Clique, Flow, Cursive and current nights AudioSalad and Raw Tonic (plus a host of others).Downstairs is the main clubspace, with brick walls and it's tiny bar. Upstairs is more relaxed, with comfortable chairs and a larger bar. Out back is a tiny balcony that overlooks the canal.

oh, you guys need to go to ///Cursive! it's this really AWESOME d.i.y. electro electro clash indie-night every first Wednesday of the month., they used to be at night & day but now they're at Joshua brooks too!
I mean, they play stuff on the kitsune/ ed banger label and some french stuff too! they played autokratz!
