Red Door review
Red Door manchester photoA new and exclusive venue for Lloyd street, just off Deansgate, next to the popular (and attractive) Boutique lap dancing bar. It's not only the door that's decked out in red, the designers follow through with an interior of rouge hues.

Red Door is one of the new breed of venues that effortlessly flits between being a bar and a club. Midweek this is a relatively relaxed place to hang out, with more energetic events on a Friday and Saturday night.

Went to Redemption on Saturday night usual too cool crew there, lots of high street honeys and boys in D&G . Music was refreshing same DJs a the Odyssey night at the 235 but they are really good, nice mix of tunes, needs more space to dance but I guess this is a bar rather than a club although it was very lively in there. I really enjoyed.

I LOVED THIS PLACE IT WAS SUPER SEXY AND THE MEN ALL MADE AN EFFORT AND THE DJS CREATED A GREAT VIBE. THE RED WAS A BIT STRONG BUT I GUESS THATS THE THEME OF THE PLACE. NO DANCE FLOOR AND £10 SEEMS TO BE THE HOT TOPIC... WELL PANACEA HAS NO DANCE FLOOR BECAUSE THE MUSIC IS RUBBISH IN THERE £10 WOW COME ON I AM SKINT BUT I WILL PAY £10 EVERY SAT TO GET IN THERE.

I was there at the launch and i really liked it, the venue is so red and sexy i love it, the music was really good I was pleased to see some friendly and familiar faces in the crowd. it was a bit packed but hey if it was empty we would all be complaining. All in all i thought it was worth a £10 note what a fuss people are making. If Panasea charged £10 to get in would people still complain... the drinks are cheaper and nicer in Red Door and the music is much better and there is no dancing allowed in Panacea . I am going back next Saturday.

I thought it was really cool but Why dont they just turn the whole place in to a massive club and make it into a vip club like Ampersand ! theres an idea...

Oh my God we all went to the Launch of Redemption at Red Door on Saturday. It was amazing, lovely crowd, beautifull plush red decor, great drinks and service and the music was as Simon Cowell would say "bang on the money!" Mark knows how to put on a party and it was great to hear the casino duo of Akay and Lee back on it. Put me plus 6 down on that guest list for next Saturday Fabulous 10/10 X

VICTORIA says...

Wow we went dow to the red door on saturday night for this Redemption night and felt like i had to let you all know that we all really thought the night was wonderfull. The venue is RED HOT and the DJs were playing RED HOT music It made a veru pleasant change from Panacea and Circle. Glad its open till 4 am as well and the drinks were great. It was packed (maybe a bit busy but not uncomfortable and if it was quiet I would be complaining so typical hey !) But anyway well done whoever organised it, judging by the great DJs and the glam crowd it must have had something to do with Mark and Arnie or was it just such an uber cool night that they both happened to be there !? Anyway it was wickid, 10/10 and that DJ Akay played at the old Saturday night Odyssey235 at the casino ahhhhh its all coming together now, Ahhhh haaa this is gonna be the new Odyssey ! At last WWWOOOOOOOOOPPIIEEEEEEE !

I was DJing at the launch night of Redemption at the Red Door with one of Manchesters best kept secrets my mate Lee from 235. Thanks for the reviews so far. It was a funky great night !

Next Saturday 8th I will be DJing with Dave Law who is gonna be the next big thing to explode in Manchester and beyond.. Dave takes sexy, funky, deep house and adds a bit of soul, a spinkling of vocals and some Omega 3 to create his own classic blend of house. I will be getting you all going with my usual mix of classic house party tunes and a big chunky selection of R&B and some Garage Flavorings...Girls put on your dancing shoes !

Well Amy, Redemption is Mark's night, Arnie was obviouly one of many uber cool guests that came and yes I used to DJ at Odyssey235.

Really glad you enjoyed the night and thanks. As for Victoria, well what can I say " Bang on the money!" sums it all up. Thanks everone for coming and get on the guest list for next Saturday..

DJ Akay says...

this was a fantastic show,m the crowd were beautiful, there was a hot girl in a very revealing almost see through black dress that was so sexy that i had to go next door to get a lap dance and trus me i was thinkin about the see through black dress lookin good on my bedroom floor ! music was equally sexy and the atmosphere was red hot

it was full of people that were far to up there own a holes, the music was cool the place looked llike a brothel but hey I had fun and even the yuppies and wannabies looked like they were glad to be in there.

I thought it was an absolute load of rubbish - people to far up their own arses and bar staff very very rude. Will never be going there again

Well I thought it was a refreshing change from Panacea and it looked like 300 other people in there were also having a funking great time. I was there from 11 till 3 am and it was kickin ! very cool music bit of house party set with some Timberland and Beyonce mixed in and then some prpper retro funky house classics. The night was just great full stop.

I guess this will never ever take Panacea's place as far as Manchester's premier flagship posh bar but I must admit I loved it in there, the crowd was a bit more lively than the usuals in Pana and the DJs actually played wickid tunes and you were allowed to dance and let your hair down without thinking that the door men will throw you out because you cant dance in Pana can you...Worth paying a tenner just to walk straight into a quality night without waiting in the cold to get in .... Yeah it was good and I will go back there maybe do a rotation between Pana and Redemption. Redemption, plus points- solid night great tunes beautiful crowd no waiting outside good bar. minus points- cant think of any yet.. Does exactly what t says on the tin ! BUT Pana will always be the top gloss .

Lots of nicely dressed men and glam girls, the place is al;l red and very OTT, it was busy and the music was really great too, lots of classics and some good R&B, this place should be a club ! Lots of people comparing it to Panacea, I like Panacea but some saturdays it is devoid of life and atmosphere, this is where the Red Door came up trumps.

The crowd, music and the venue created a great atmosphere, the DJ was throwing his hands in the air and dancing and this was a great sign. All about fun, and we all had loads of it. Well on a great launch party, thank funk for facebook or I would nevber have been invited !

Kelly says...

No one was rude in there, it was a great night, there was a giant doorman on and he even saud good night to us very refreshing. The bar staff alll looked stressed a s it was busy and I gather from chatting to one of them that they are not used to it being so busy on a Saturday.. The DJs played a very well organised mix up of everything good and there was some R&B for all the wannabee playas in da house ! Top night, lots of totty and posh men , great place to pull but get smart this crowd are very la de dah, give Pana a run for the money
